Church of England – Prayer for the day

Almighty and everlasting God,
by whose Spirit the whole body of the Church
is governed and sanctified:
hear our prayer which we offer for all your faithful people,
that in their vocation and ministry
they may serve you in holiness and truth
to the glory of your name;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Church open for private prayer and reflection

We are pleased to let you know that St James Church will be open for private prayer each Sunday 11.30am – 12.30pm and Wednesday 3.00-4.00pm (from July 5th). The space at the rear of the church has been sectioned off and socially distant seats made available. Hand sanitiser is available for use. All bibles and prayer books are out of use, so please do bring your own if you wish to use one. There is a one way system in place, entering through the Church porch door and exiting through the bell tower door. Visitors will be encouraged to give their name and address to the volunteer stewards in case contact tracing is required. These details will be kept for 3 weeks and then destroyed. We will let you know if we are able to open for additional sessions in the future. Sue and Pippa v>
