Gaz Tracey

Rector

(Senior Church leader)

Gaz has been in church leadership for over 15 years, leading churches all over the country. He has a keen interest in new forms of church and church planting. He is sports mad, loves a beer and to eat is married to Jo, and together they have 3 children.

Chris Carr

Reader

Chris has spent most of his working life in the finance sector, in both the business and charity sector. He left a central London accountancy practise to set up his own company, working to support local and national charities. He is passionate about the life Jesus has to offer all those that meet him.

Katharine Roper

Reader

Katharine has lived in Bishop's Stortford for a number of years, she is a school teacher by profession (and still teaches in one of the local schools). She is a gifted musician, and has a heart to see people connect with Jesus.

Our Office team

Vanessa Challis

Vanessa is our Office Manager, and takes care of most of our key processes and policies. She, with Jo, are the first port of call for any enquiries to do with St James' or our buildings.

becky miles

Becky is our Admin Assistant, and works to assist Vanessa in ensuring the smooth running of both the office and the church. She specialises in marketing and communications and maintains the administrative processes behind our Safeguarding procedures.
