At St James we place a strong emphasis on developing our children and young people. You are a really important part of the church and we feel really privileged to work with you and help you grow in your faith.
Our goal for children’s and youth ministry at St James is that all our groups, activities and worship should be fun and friendly places where we can discover more about Jesus and what it means to follow Him.
We are really looking forward to getting to know you, so do come and see all that is going on! Check out below for details.
Little Worship is our baby and toddler group meeting on Wednesday mornings during term-time.

PowerHouse is for children in reception up to Year 6. We meet every Sunday during the 10.30 service in the Emmuas Centre. We start off in the service together then head out for games, stories, crafts, worship, discussions and lots of fun using material from Urban Saints to help plan our teaching.
We are currently holding our youth evenings every two weeks on a Sunday from 7pm – 9pm. Our youth evenings are open to anyone in Year 7 – Year 13 and we are meeting at the St Barnabas Centre where our evenings generally consist of games and snacks.
We are restarting on Sunday 3rd October with a chippy hike!
If you would like to join us we are currently asking for parents/carers to book to help our leaders to prepare for the session in-line with current restrictions. You can book by checking out our calendar.
